Sign up or renew your subscription
The service year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
Please read the terms and conditions before you sign up - they include important information, for example:
- what to do if your bin is missed
- reduced winter collections
- frozen or jammed bins
When you've subscribed, you will be sent a sticker to place on your green bin. Please allow 10 working days between subscribing and your first scheduled collection - this is because we'll need to:
- produce and deliver your sticker
- provide a new bin, if needed
- update the in-cab systems
You can sign up midway through the year, but the full annual cost will apply.
If you already have a green waste subscription and want another green bin, we ask that you register for another subscription, but only for the number of additional bins you need. Please remember to choose the option to request a new physical bin(s), as needed.

You cannot pay by cash or bank transfer. If you can only pay be cheque, it will take longer to process your application and may delay your sticker. Cheques must be made payable to Rutland County Council and have your name, address and green waste property reference on the back - send to: Finance Department (GW), Rutland County Council, Catmose, Oakham, Rutland LE15 6HP.
If you don't want to renew your current subscription for the 2023-24 service year, your green bin will not be emptied after 31 March 2023.
