Proxy votes
If you're unable to vote in person, you can appoint a proxy voter to vote on your behalf.
You will need to complete and return the relevant form and give the reason you need a proxy vote.
You can nominate a proxy voter for a particular election, a set period of time or for all future elections.

Application deadlines:
- for changes to existing existing proxy and postal proxy appointments - 5pm, 11 working days before the date of the poll
- for new proxy applications (excluding emergency proxies) - 5pm, six working days before the date of the poll
- for emergency proxy applications - 5pm on polling day
