Each local authority is responsible for coordinating secondary school admissions for children living in their area who will be starting secondary school, in year 7, in September 2025.

Late applications
If you live in Rutland
- if you need to submit a late application, you must complete the paper application form - our online admissions portal is not currently available for online applications
- it is important to bear in mind that Rutland secondary schools may already be full
- you must submit your application to us even if you want to apply for a school in another area
- our admissions brochure is available to provide you with full details of the application process and details of the schools available to you in Rutland
- we have produced the video below which explains how your application for a school place will be processed
