Rutland County Council has published additional information about its Ryhall Library building, following the launch of a public consultation.

The consultation asks residents for feedback on how local library services can best be delivered in Ryhall and the surrounding area, due to the condition of the building and the availability of limited funding for repairs.

The additional information that has been made available by Rutland County Council relates to survey work that gives greater detail about the building condition.

These documents can be accessed via the Ryhall Library Services consultation page on our website, together with a set of FAQs that answer question received by the Council since consultation got underway on 29 January.

In addition to an online and paper survey for consultation responses, drop-in sessions have been organised at the Ryhall library building and will take place over the next week, allowing residents to speak with officers from the Council’s Living Well Rutland Service.

These sessions will take place on the following dates and times:

  • Thursday 6 February, 1.30pm to 5.00pm
  • Friday 7 February, 2.00pm to 4.00pm
  • Thursday 13 February, 9.00am to 12.30pm

"Our consultation on the provision of library services in Ryhall is underway and has received a strong response. We’ve now shared additional information in reply to questions and queries that we have received since the consultation got underway last week. We know how much people care about their local library services and value all of the responses and feedback we have received to date.”

Councillor Christine Wise, Cabinet Member for Transport, Environment, and Communities at Rutland County Council
