Rutland County Council Ryhall Library service consultation goes live
Our public consultation on how to best deliver library services in Ryhall is now live and will run until Friday 28 February.

Rutland County Council’s public consultation on how to best deliver library services in Ryhall is now live and will run until Friday 28 February.
The consultation follows a review of the condition of the Ryhall Library building, as part of plans to enhance all four libraries in Rutland. During the planning process, it became apparent that the necessary works to bring Ryhall Library up to required standards would exceed the available budget for the site. As a result, the Council is now seeking the views and ideas of local library users on how the library service can be delivered in an alternative way and has launched an online survey to do so.
The consultation is now live on our website. Paper copies of the survey can be obtained at the library. The Council will also host in-person drop-in sessions at the Ryhall library building, to allow residents to speak with officers from its Living Well Rutland Service. These sessions will take place on the following dates and times:
- Thursday 6 February, 1.30 – 5pm
- Friday 7 February, 2 – 4pm
- Thursday 13 February, 9am – 12.30pm
“I would urge library users from Ryhall and other areas to take part in this consultation. We understand the importance of a library service and are keen to hear from the public on how this can best be delivered.”
Councillor Christine Wise, Cabinet Member for Transport, Environment, and Communities at Rutland County Council
