Rutland County Council has published opening hours for key services over the Christmas and New Year period.
Council offices
The council offices will be closed on all bank holidays over the Christmas period. In addition, Catmose Office will close to the public at 2.45pm on Tuesday 24 December and will be closed all day on Friday 27 December. You can contact Customer Services via email enquiries@rutland.gov.uk or over the phone on 01572 722 577 during the usual opening hours. This includes until 5pm on 24 December.
The council will be open for face-to-face customer contact on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 December. Residents can continue to access Rutland County Council services online via our website over the festive period where they can make payments, submit queries and track the progress of any online requests.
Libraries
Rutland libraries will close over the festive period. Details as follows:
- Ketton library: closes at 1pm on Saturday 21 December and reopens on Thursday 2 January
- Rhyall library: closes at 5pm on Monday 23 December and reopens on Thursday 2 January
- Uppingham and Oakham libraries: closes at 12.30pm on Tuesday 24 December and reopens on Thursday 2 January

Active Hub and Family Hub
The Rutland Active Hub and Rutland Family Hub will close at 12.30pm on Tuesday 24 December and reopen on Thursday 2 January.
Museum and castle
Rutland County Museum and Oakham Castle will be closed on Bank Holidays. In addition to this, the museum will also be closed on Friday 27 December.

Rutland Adult Learning and Skills Service
The RALSS building will close at 4.30pm on Friday 20 December and reopen as normal on Thursday 2 January.
Bins, waste and recycling
Over the Christmas and New Year period, some bin collection days will change. These changes also apply to properties on the 'Farms and Lodges’ collection rounds.
