Oakham hopper timetable changes to remain in place
The Oakham Hopper is a free minibus service operated by Rutland County Council and subsidised by Oakham Town Council

Changes to the timetable for the Oakham Hopper bus services have been extended to reflect the temporary closure of Brooke Road in Oakham.
The Oakham Hopper is a free minibus service operated by Rutland County Council and subsidised by Oakham Town Council.
The Hopper runs from 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Saturday, linking residential areas with local supermarkets, Oakham High Street, the Market Place and Bus Station. This includes Glebe Way and Welland Way, to the west of Brooke Road Level Crossing.
The timetable for the Hopper has been altered to account for the temporary closure to Brooke Road. These changes will now remain in place until the road closure is lifted on 30 November, providing free transport for those who need it.
The Hopper stop on Glebe Way is located between Lonsdale Way and Braunston Road. The Welland Way stop is located opposite Irwell Close. The Oakham Hopper is also a ‘hail and ride service’, meaning the bus will stop at any point along its route, if waved down and it is safe to pull over. The route taken by the Hopper includes Balmoral Road, Welland Way, Trent Road, Brooke Road, Balmoral Road, West Road and Cold Overton Road.
The full timetable for the Oakham Hopper bus service can be found on our Rutland Buses pages. Anyone without access to the internet can request details or a printed copy of the timetable by calling: 01572 758 138.
The council can ensure the Hopper is fully accessible to wheelchair users, with advanced notice. To book the wheelchair accessible Hopper Service, please email: transport@rutland.gov.uk or call: 01572 758 138.
The council regrets that it cannot take animals on board its minibuses unless they are assistance dogs.
