Due to ongoing water pipe repairs taking place in the North Luffenham area by Severn Trent Water, access to North Luffenham Household Waste and Recycling Centre will be closed from 27 February until the end of the month to ensure the work can be undertaken safely.
To enable residents to still access a waste and recycling centre service during this time, Rutland County Council will be opening Cottesmore Household Waste and Recycling Centre for 7 days a week until North Luffenham’s Centre reopens.
Please note that Cottesmore HWRC is unable to accept trailers.
‘In order to make sure that this essential work is undertaken safely for workers and the public we need to temporarily shut access to North Luffenham HWRC. However, by redirecting resources from North Luffenham to Cottesmore HWRC during this time, we can ensure a local centre is open and available 7 days a week.
‘We apologise for any inconvenience during this time and we will work with Severn Trent Water throughout to ensure works are completed as quickly as possible.’
