Rutland County Council has published opening hours for key services over the Christmas and New Year period.

The Council offices and customer self-service area at Catmose in Oakham will be closed from 4.30pm on Friday 23 December until 9.00am on Tuesday 3 January 2023.

Customer phone lines will be open between Christmas and New Year (Wednesday 28 December to Friday 30 December) but closed on normal bank holidays.

During this time, you can continue to access services online, through the Council website and MyAccount, where you can make payments, submit queries and track your requests.

Local libraries, Rutland County Museum and Oakham Castle are closed on bank holidays. Opening hours can be viewed on the following links:

In case of emergencies, Rutland County Council provides an out of hours contact service, meaning 24/7 support is available all-year-round by calling: 01858 464 499.

  • Saturday 24 December to Monday 26 December – Office Closed
  • Tuesday 27 December – Emergency Death appointments only
  • Wednesday 28 December to Friday 30 December – Appointments available
  • Saturday 31 December to Monday 2 January – Office closed
  • Tuesday 3 January – Appointments available
