These courses cater for all abilities, from building on entry-level skills to gaining an accredited Functional Skills or GCSE qualification. Courses range from twelve weeks to nine months and are free for adults aged 19+ who meet funding criteria.

Over the last academic year, 90% of RALSS’ Maths and English qualification students successfully achieved a qualification - some students even achieved one and then progressed onto a second, higher level qualification. 100% of RALSS’ GCSE students were also awarded grade 5 or above.

“The Functional Skills Maths course is excellent. It’s provided me with the right skills, knowledge and understanding to progress in further education and life in general. I am more confident and independent.”

Hassiba, who recently gained her Level 2 Functional Skills Maths qualification
