Our Corporate Strategy

Our Corporate Strategy sets out our ambitions and priorities for the next five years (2022-2027)

The Corporate Strategy guides everything we do as a Council, across all our services.

It lists a total of 25 commitments covering everything from sustainable development and carbon reduction, to reducing health inequalities and supporting vulnerable people.

The Corporate Strategy is directly linked to the results of the recent Future Rutland Conversation. Each of our 25 commitments will help to achieve the aspirations voiced by residents throughout the Conversation and then captured in the final Future Rutland Vision.

The Corporate Strategy also explains how you can help us to achieve our commitments over the next five years, and what the outcome will be if this is successful. It also outlines how we will transform the way it works over the next five years to deliver more effective and efficient services that are fit for the future.

Council performance

To understand if we're delivering effectively against our Corporate Strategy, we must be able to measure our performance.

To measure our performance, we monitor our progress against a range of key performance indicators aligned to the priorities in our strategy.

We produce performance reports on a quarterly basis. These reports help us to:

  • understand our overall progress
  • identify any areas where we may need to adapt and respond, to make sure we continue to meet the needs of our communities

Corporate performance reports and summary documents are submitted to Cabinet - these are available in the minutes for Cabinet meetings.
