Aiming High service

Short breaks scheme

The Aiming High short breaks scheme is for children and young people who need extra support to take part in leisure activities.

A short break ranges from an hour at an activity to a weekend away. Aiming High short breaks include day, evening, overnight, weekend and holiday activities.

Short breaks aim to:

  • give your child the chance to spend time away from you, developing new skills and making friends

  • give you a valuable break from your caring responsibilities to recharge your batteries.

Before you apply, find out more about the short breaks scheme and who can apply on the Rutland Information Service section of our site.
