When you want to claim Housing Benefit, email your details to benefits@rutland.gov.uk.
You need to submit your completed claim form within one month of sending us this email.
You can download and print the claim form. Let us know when you email if you would like us to post a claim form out to you instead.
We process Housing Benefit applications in the order we receive them - please allow 10 working days before you contact us to check the progress of you claim.
You can view your claim online. This quick, easy service lets you see your claim, including details of any rent payments and invoices for overpaid Housing Benefit. All you need to register is your email address and your reference number.
We'll contact you if we need more information or supporting evidence (bank statement or wage slips, for example).
We'll pay your Housing Benefit into your bank account every 4 weeks.
In some cases, we can pay your landlord directly.
