We recognise the important role carers play and the challenges you may face - we're here to signpost you to information, advice and services designed to support you in your caring role.
Request a carer's assessment
Our carers team can help you to understand how your caring role may affect your wellbeing and identify the support you may need. We’ll also explore services and resources that can benefit both you and the person you care for.
Carer's emergency contingency plan
This plan contains essential information about the person you care for, including their preferences and needs. In the event you’re unable to provide care, it ensures their wishes are followed.
Register as a carer with your GP
Let your GP know you’re a carer by completing a simple registration form. This helps your GP provide tailored advice, support and access to services.
- download the carers GP registration form
- learn more about the benefits of registering as a carer with your GP (via the Rutland Health website)
Carer's passport
A carer's passport is a free ID card for carers that's recognised across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Carer's passports aim to:
- help carers be more easily recognised
- help you access the support and services available to you
If you would like a carers passport please email carersteam@rutland.gov.uk.
