Waste Policies & Strategy

Each year in Rutland we produce huge quantities of waste. Changes in the way we think about and manage waste and resources are central to achieving sustainable development. This strategy is a blueprint for how waste will be managed in Rutland to meet our targets and objectives until 2020. Reviews of the strategy will take place every year. Fundamental to this strategy is the need to curb the growth in the quantity of waste produced.

Rutland County Council's Waste Management Strategy 2008-2020 has recently been updated.

The strategy is available to download in pdf format. To read it you willl need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can download free from Adobe.
