Rutland Library Service provides libraries in Oakham, Uppingham, Ketton and Ryhall. Our mobile library visits villages in Rutland fortnightly. Please choose your local library from the list on the left of the screen for opening hours and more details.

 

Our Services

It's free to join the library and everyone is welcome.

As well as a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books, our services include information, computer access, music CDs, videos, DVDs, local history, and children's storytimes ... follow the links on the left to find out more. Photocopying and fax facilities are available at all libraries except the Mobile Library.

There are small charges for some of our services. Library Charges

 

Library Catalogue

You can search our library catalogue online to find out if a book, CD, video, DVD or tape is in stock. If you can't find the item you require, please telephone or email us and we will do our best to track down the item for you.

 

Renew and Reserve Books

 

You can also renew books or reserve an item online by entering the Borrower Services website page on the library catalogue. You will need a library card and PIN number to do this. To obtain a PIN number, please contact your local library who can arrange to have one posted to you, or if you have your library card with you then you can collect one from us at your local library.

The People's Network

 

People’s Network services are available at http://www.peoplesnetwork.gov.uk/

'Enquire' is a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week real-time/email Reference Enquiry service.

'Discover' is a personalised access gateway to a wide and growing range of resources, including specially selected websites, news services and object searches.

'Read' gives access to a range of online services promoting books and reading, including 'Reader2reader' - where readers can meet online.
