Family Activities

There’s always plenty to keep little (and not so little) ones entertained at the Kids in Museums Logomuseum, so if you’re stuck for what to do come along and have fun doing some of our drop-in activities or a museum trail.

'Crowns & Coronets'

Activity Sessions

This June Half Term the museum will be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a range Jubilee Logoof activities to keep the children entertained. They will be able to make their own jewelled Jubilee crown or crown mask, a souvenir badge and bookmark, a pretty crown felt coaster and a commemorative coronation paper plate.

Sessions will take place on the following dates:

Wednesday 6th June: 10.30am – 12.30pm & 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Friday 8th June 10.30am – 12.30pm

The sessions are suitable for children aged 4-11 years.

There will be a charge of £1.50 per child.

There is no need to book – just drop in!

Museum Hunt

Saturday 12th May – Saturday 30th June

Have a go at our fun ‘Jubilee’ Trail around the museum and find the crowns and coronets.

Free, available during opening hours
