Rutland Community Safety Partnership
| History of the Partnership The Crime and Disorder Act was enacted in July 1998 and required that Crime and Disorder Partnerships (or Community Safety Partnerships) be set up. The Act placed an obligation on local authorities and police to work together and to implement a strategy to tackle crime and disorder in their area.
Since that time further legislation has widened the remit of the Partnership and made more organisations (such as health) responsible under law for the delivery of the Strategy.
The Rutland Community Safety Partnership has been in existence since 1998 and since then it has been working hard to ensure that crime and disorder remain low and where there are community safety issues, that they are tackled effectively.
The Partnership's vision is
