New Flood Guides
Preparing for a flood guide

Three new flood guides, giving practical advice on preparing for a flood and what to do during and after a flood – have been produced by the Environment Agency.

The guides include information on action to take when floods are forecast and how to cope after floods have struck. It also has information on insurance cover, clean up considerations and useful contact numbers.

Lead Emergency Management Officer, Nick Andrews, said: “While the risk of floods in Rutland may not be as high as in other areas, it is important we know how to react to all severe weather conditions.

“The guides offer clear, practical advice and reinforce the importance of individuals in taking responsibility for protecting themselves and their properties.”
