| Our Current ExhibitionSummer Landscapes
Friday 9th July - Sat 5th September 2010
The Summer Landscapes exhibition has been completed by Rutland Brownies, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts with the help of local artist Tessa Angell to help celebrate the Girl Guiding Centenary year celebrations.
Three local Girl Guiding and Scout groups took part in the art sessions with Tessa; Whissendine Cubs & Scouts, North Luffenham Beavers & Cubs and Oakham Brownies.
Each group completed a different form of art work for the exhibition. Whissendine used Modroc and chicken wire to create 3D pictures, North Luffenham used parcel tape to create real life sculptures and Oakham used collage to create abstract summer pictures.
This exhibition has been kindly sponsored NADFAS (National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies) and The Friends of Rutland County Museum and Oakham Castle. Forthcoming Exhibitions 'Kir-ching!' : Shops & Shopping in Rutland
