Emergency Planning
| Be a Good Neighbour We live in a society that is probably less community-minded than it once was. Fewer people are at home during the day and many people live far away from other family members.
But problems can arise and people often need a helping hand. Although this is true all year round, winter can make things more difficult. Bad weather can make getting out and about a problem, regardless of age, making people more isolated than usual and it’s harder to heat your home and keep warm.
Don't wait until there's a crisis Be aware of the difficulties people may be having, especially if they live alone, are disabled, very old, or have young children. Keep an eye out for the people you know – family, friends and neighbours.
