Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the Local Development Documents (LDDs) to be prepared by the Council as part of the Local Plan programme for the next 3 year period from 2013 up to 2016. The LDS includes:

·         a schedule of the documents to be prepared;

·         details of the role, coverage, status and timetable of each document;

·         a list of local plan policies proposed to be saved beyond the 3-year period*

 *n.b. The Secretary of State has now issued a Direction listing the policies to be saved beyond 27 September 2007.

Rutland's Local Development Scheme (May 2013) was approved by the Council’s Cabinet on 7th May 2013.

In order to ensure that community and stakeholders are kept up to date on the preparation of the various LDDs, the Council will produce a quarterly update on the Council’s website on the progress of the documents.

This will be in addition to the updates provided through the Annual Monitoring Report and the Local Plan Newsletter published on the Council’s website on a quarterly basis.
