Open Space, Sport, Recreation Facilities and Green Infrastructure
A survey of open space, sport, recreation facilities and green infrastructure has been undertaken in Rutland in accordance with the requirements of Planning Policy Guidance Note 17 (PPG 17).
The provision standard guidance sets out the Council’s approach to provision of open space, sport and recreation in conjunction with new development. It has been produced to provide developers and the public information on developer contributions which are reasonably related in scale to development proposals.
The Reports will form part of the evidence base to inform decisions in the Local Development Framework about directions for growth, allocations of land for development and criteria for assessing the sustainability of future development proposals.
The findings of the survey will be used in the Sustainability Appraisal of the Local Development Framework and in the determination of planning applications.
