Strategic Flood Risk Assessment

A Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) of Rutland has been carried out in accordance with government guidance in Planning Policy Statement 25 Development and Flood Risk (PPS25).

The study comprises:

  • a “Level 1” SFRA that examines flood risk across Rutland including maps showing all identified sources of flood risk and an assessment of the implications of climate change on flood risk;

  • a “Level 2” SFRA that reviews flood risk in Oakham and Uppingham in more detail including guidance in relation to future policies and proposals.
