Minerals Local Plan

Minerals Local PlanThe Minerals Local Plan sets out land-use planning policies relating to the safeguarding and extraction of mineral deposits.

Rutland is covered by the Leicestershire Minerals Local Plan Review, which was adopted by Leicestershire County Council in 1995, prior to Rutland becoming a unitary authority in 1997.

The Plan will gradually be replaced by a portfolio of local development documents as part of the Local Plan.

The Secretary of State has issued a Direction extending certain policies beyond 27 September 2007. A complete list of the extended policies and those that expired on 27 September 2007 is set out in an Addendum to the Local Plan.

The following policies have subsequently been replaced by the Minerals Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD upon its adoption by the Council on 1 October 2010:

1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12-a-f, 20, 23, 27, 32, 33, 34

Documents may be inspected at the Council's Customer Services Centre in Oakham and public libraries at Oakham, Uppingham, Ketton and Ryhall during normal opening hours.

Printed copies of the plan may be obtained from Leicestershire County Council.
