Information about Live@

Live@ The Museum is held in Rutland County Museum in Oakham, Rutland, and is linked to Rutland County Council. 

We show films every Thursday night, childrens' films in the afternoons before any event on Saturdays, childrens' films on the Tuesday and Thursday afternoons of school holidays and have a live event on the evening of the three Saturdays of every month.

Live@ is licensed to have a full bar at all cinemas and events which offers a large selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, and a selection of savoury and sweet snacks. Anyone under the legal age of 18 will not be sold alcohol and management reserve the right to challenge any customer deemed to be Under 21.

We have comfortable seating for 188 customers. Disabled seating is also available, please inform the team if this is required.

Live@ has a large cinema screen and projector for films, and a large adaptable stage for live events. We also have a full sound system available.

There are a total of five toilets on the site, two of which are specific disabled toilets. One of these also doubles as a baby-changing area. For mothers with infants, there is a back room for nursing needs.

For larger performances, there is a cloak room available, free of charge, to all customers. However, coats and belongings are left at the owners risk and lost or stolen items are not the responsibility of Live@ or Rutland County Council.

For all performances where a certification is given, management may reserve the right to deny access to under-age customers. For films U to 12A, we will allow children entrance accompanied by a responsible legal guardian. For acts, there is no given age restrictions, but we ask parents wishing to bring minors to be aware there may be swearing, offensive content and adult material used. We, as Live@ and Rutland County Council have no control over the material used by the artists.

There is a smoking area available outside in the Museum courtyard, so we ask all customers not to smoke inside the building.

As Live@ is held in a museum, we ask customers to be respectful of the surrounding objects and exhibits.

Please be aware that in the event of an advertised film being unavailable, the Live@ management reserve the right to substitute with an alternative feature, or cancel a performance.
