The Council is committed to attracting new jobs to the area through it's inward investment programme and works in partnership with other agencies to:


  • promote the development of learning communities

  • ensure local people have access to lifelong learning and training opportunities

  • provide local people with opportunities to gain skills needed for employment in growth industries

  • ensure residents benefit from employment opportunities created within the area

 

Learn Direct

Connexions
Connexions Direct is a service for young people age 13-19 that offers quick access to information and advice on a wide range of topics, including employment and training.

 

Access2Work

Visit the library webpages to find out more about the Access2Work scheme in Rutland.  Housed in Oakham Library, 20 PCs act as important information points to those who are unemployed, featuring desk-top links for jobs searches, volunteering opportunities, and employment advice services.
