There is some isolated local flooding in Rutland following the heavy rainfall earlier in the day (Friday).
Please take extra care when travelling, especially in the dark, as we expect runoff from fields to continue for several hours, even after the rain stops. This could lead to surface water in many areas.
We advise listening to local radio for latest updates. Rutland Radio broadcasts on 107.2FM and 97.4FM across Rutland and Stamford.
During periods of bad weather, such as the heavy rainfall experienced across Rutland today, you can find weather forecasts at BBC Weather or the Met Office.
A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Welland Tributaries.
Flooding is possible for the Tributaries of the River Welland affecting Medbourne, Great Easton, Caldecott, Oakham, Ketton, and the north of Peterborough Friday morning.
Low lying land and roads will be affected first.
