With rising energy costs, household energy bills have been and are likely to continue to increase. We are offering a helping hand to those residents in Rutland who are struggling to pay their energy bills through the Rutland Energy Saving Advice Service.

Invaluable Money Matters Sessions Debt Advice & Budgeting Skills

Rutland Citizens Advice Bureau (RCAB) and Rutland County Council are providing 1-2-1 advice sessions to help households in Rutland who are struggling with energy and utility bills.

Seeking Volunteers for Energy Advice Champion Training

 

Become an ‘Energy Advice Champion’

Do you work with or help residents who may be struggling with their energy bills in Rutland? Do you wish you knew more to help them?

Energy Action for Rutland is delivering training sessions in December to give frontline staff and volunteers the skills, knowledge and resources to become ‘Energy Advice Champions’ and help some of Rutland’s most vulnerable residents. Training is free and attendees will gain the essential skills be able to give impartial help and advice to residents who struggle to understand energy bills and tariffs, giving them the confidence to make decisions that will reduce their bills.  Find out more on our BESN Training webpage.

Residents who are struggling to pay their energy bills can currently find ways you can save energy and money in your home from:

 

Registering your interest in a free household energy visit from impartial experts by calling the Contact Line on 01572 722 622 (hosted by Voluntary Action Rutland) for energy bill worries and advice on ways you can save energy and money in your home.

Who's making it happen?

Rutland County Council, Change Agents UK, Voluntary Action Rutland, and other organisations have teamed up to provide you with this free impartial service, supported by funding provided by the Ebico Trust for Sustainable Development, Rutland Together, our Local Strategic Partnership, and Spire Homes. The project is aiming to raise awareness of the issues of energy efficiency and actions residents can take to reduce the costs of their energy bills.
