Climate Change Survey 2010 Results
Thank you to all who submitted your responses to our Climate Change Survey 2010 either online or in paper copy
We greatly appreciate the time taken by you to complete the survey.
106 Rutland residents and Rutland County Council staff took part in the Climate Change Survey from 18th March – 16th April 2010.
We have now analysed the results which are available to download below.
The results of the survey are now being used in the development of events and activities during 2010/11.
95% say “climate change is occurring”
95% of people agree that climate change is occurring, with 62% believing it is largely due to our activities and 25% saying the link has not been proven.
86% say climate change is a serious problem
The majority of respondents consider climate change to be a serious problem (86%), with 32% believing it is the most serious problem we currently face.

Of those who have attended the numerous event stands we have held since 2008, the event with the most votes was:
Rutland County Council's Stand at the Rutland County Show (7th June 2009)
We will be holding a joint stand with other Rutland County Council services again at this year's show on Sunday 6th June 2010, and look forward to seeing you there. We will promote other future events and activities, who's locations will be influenced by your preferences, on the Events Section of our Climate Change website.
